The Reliable Wire, Volume 2, Issue 5, May 2014

After a very busy March, April was a relatively quiet month in the world of the Reliability Standards. No new standards have been approved or even proposed to be approved. There has, however, been a lot of work on the standards development side as the new physical security standard was balloted and the CIP Version 5 revisions begin to take shape. It is important to follow these developments so you can be prepared prior to their implementation. Additionally, NERC will be having its quarterly Board of Trustees meeting next week in Philadelphia, PA. They will be voting to approve three Reliability Standards and a few reports, and address a raft of other issues. So, really, there’s never a dull moment.
